Pig & Rooster, LLC (“Company”) provides vessel-specific familiarization, orientation and general operational knowledge services only. All services, materials, checklists, logs, diagrams, discussions and instruction provided by the Company are intended solely to enhance general awareness and understanding of the systems, equipment and typical operation of a specific vessel.

No licensing, certification or regulatory training

Pig & Rooster, LLC does not provide, and expressly disclaims providing:

• United States Coast Guard–approved training
• Captain, mate, operator or crew licensing or endorsements
• Certification or credentialing of any kind
• STCW training
• Coast Guard safety courses
• Formal maritime education
• Regulatory compliance training
• Any training required by law, regulation or insurance policy

Nothing in this program, documentation or instruction shall be interpreted as a substitute for any license, certification, credential, endorsement or training required by the United States Coast Guard, flag state authorities, insurers, or any governmental or regulatory body.

Non-certifying / non-compliance program

This program is non-certifying and non-compliance-based. Completion of this program does not represent, imply or guarantee compliance with maritime laws, navigation rules, safety regulations, manufacturer requirements or insurance underwriting standards. Responsibility for regulatory compliance and lawful vessel operation remains solely with the vessel owner and/or operator.

No authority or command of vessel

Pig & Rooster, LLC does not assume command, control or authority over any vessel. At no time does the Company act as master, operator or person in charge of the vessel. All operational decisions remain the sole responsibility of the vessel owner, operator or licensed captain in command.

All information provided is for general informational and educational purposes only. Vessel systems, configurations, maintenance conditions and modifications vary significantly. Pig & Rooster, LLC makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness or applicability of any information provided.

No guarantee of safety or performance

Participation in this program does not guarantee safe operation, prevent accidents, reduce risk or ensure proper vessel performance. Maritime operations involve inherent risks, including but not limited to mechanical failure, environmental hazards, navigational risks, personal injury and property damage.

Assumption of risk

By participating in this program, the participant knowingly and voluntarily assumes all risks associated with vessel operation and training activities, whether known or unknown, and agrees that Pig & Rooster, LLC shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, injury or claim arising from participation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pig & Rooster, LLC, its members, managers, employees, contractors, agents and instructors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from or related to participation in this program or use of any materials provided.

No legal or insurance advice

Nothing provided by Pig & Rooster, LLC constitutes legal, regulatory, safety or insurance advice. Participants are advised to consult qualified maritime attorneys, insurers, manufacturers and regulatory authorities regarding licensing, compliance and operational requirements.
